I made my first lantern painting a few months ago after I read through the Chronicles of Narnia for about the millionth time. I really wanted to paint the lantern from the first couple of books and this is what it looked like in my head:
This first one was painted on 4 small 4″ x 4″ panels. It was painted very thick with multiple layers of paint. It cost a lot to make because of all the paint I used, but it was a lot of fun to do and it proved to be a popular theme and paitning style. I’ve since painted about 10 more pieces ranging in size and color, and I have a couple more commissioned I’ll be painting as soon as I get the supplies.
