This painting of Betty Page was commissioned for a friend. I was looking through images of her and found a fully nude one that really struck me. Their are lots of well known images of her but I really liked how this one looked, she kind of has a look on her face like she isn’t aware of what’s going on.

This piece was done on 18″ x 24″ x 2″ thick aspen wood. It is painted with watered down black paint. I used about 1/2 of water to a bit of paint 1/2 the size of a dime. I used about 30 coats of paint for the darker areas, but that is all the paint I used.

Thanks for doing this piece. The old lady loved it and I am no longer in the dog house!
